This course was born out of a real project – Sound of Stories. Its first edition explored how sound-based learning can support children’s language and literacy development. The results were promising enough that we knew they were worth sharing. So here we are.

 

What is this course about?

It is designed for teachers and educators working with children aged 3 to 8. Across five modules and 30 lessons, you will find practical knowledge, real case studies, and concrete ideas for bringing sound-based learning into your daily practice – across the curriculum, not just in language classes.

The modules cover:

  • Language, literacy and early children’s development
  • Sound-based learning approaches
  • Sound-based learning benefits across the curriculum
  • Tools for sound-based learning implementation
  • Sound-based learning as a tool for inclusion

 

Why does it matter?

Sounds are not a decorative extra. Used intentionally, they can become an integral part of how children learn to read, communicate, and engage with the world around them. This might be valuable not only for native language learners but also for children from multilingual backgrounds, as sounds activate prior knowledge or pre-understanding. Sound-based learning can also help you create an inclusive environment in the classroom. This course will help you see – and use – that potential.

 

What do you get?

Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance – a record of the professional development you invested in.

Once you reach the 75% quiz pass rate and submit the evaluation, you will be eligible for a certificate of participation, which should be generated automatically on the platform.
